Good morning, Sharks Families!

First of all, welcome to all of our newly registered Sharks!!  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out :-)

We are just 1 week away from our first practice on June 10th.  For our Sharks who also swim club or have school sport/club obligations, week 1 practices are optional if a conflict arises.  GMNY swimmers should always attend their GMNY practice in the case of a conflict :-)  If you have any questions about the practice schedule, please refer to the practice schedule on the website.  In addition, we have a few VERY important events coming up the first 2 weeks of the season.  

Please be sure to declare your swimmer ATTENDING or NOT ATTENDING the Mock Meet for his/her age group.  These mock meets are SUPER important for our swimmers to get a sense of what happens at a meet and also for our coaches to really get a good feel for our team :-)  There will be NO PRACTICE on the day of the mock meet for the age group not competing.

BE AWARE that ALL spiritwear orders are due by June 11th.  I have attached the order forms to this email.  Spiritwear is not a requirement, just a fun way for our Sharks swimmers and their families to show off their team spirit. Remember that you can send your order via email and payment through Venmo (@nmidura) or drop off order form and check/cash in the Sharks Mailbox located at Freehold Y Front Desk.  Let us know if you have any questions.

Our team absolutely CANNOT run without YOUR help.  That being said, like nearly every other rec sport, We DO have a volunteer requirement.  If you could please bring a work bond check in the amount of $50 made out to the YMCA of Greater Monmouth. to the first practice, it would be greatly appreciated.  As soon as you meet your required points (it's easy... I PROMISE) we will return your check :-)

Parents Meetings will be held during the first 2 days of practice.  You need only attend the meeting once, during your swimmer's normal practice time.  We will talk about the season, volunteer positions and requirements and anything else swim related that you'd like to discuss.  Come meet the Parent Reps and have all your questions answered!

Sport Spot will be at all practices on Tuesday, June 11th.  Stop by to get your team suit and any other swim needs (caps, goggles, bungee, etc)
