Spiritwear, Volunteering and REMIND
Good morning, Sharks Families!
Again... welcome to all of our newly registered Sharks!! PLEASE take a peek at the other communications that have been sent out. They are ALL on our WEBSITE under the About tab... click on NEWS. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out :-)
I have to apologize... there was an error in my earlier email. To sign up for the Sharks Remind app, please text @fhsharks25 to the number 81010. We use Remind in emergency situations... in case of last minute practice or meet changes/cancellations due to weather (this sometimes happens while we are in the middle of practice. WE DO NOT CANCEL PRACTICES AHEAD OF TIME DUE TO WEATHER! It is super important to sign up for remind so that you will know all important information in a timely manner.
**IMPORTANT UPDATE ON VOLUNTEER POINTS AND WORKBOND CHECK**
As with most other rec sports, we do have a volunteer requirement with a workbond backing. We absolutely cannot do this without your help and support. Each family is required to complete 2 volunteer assignments. If you have more than 1 swimmer, please complete 3 assignments. Please hand in a check to either Nicole or Sherrill during the first week of practice in the amount of $50. The check should be made payable to Y Greater Monmouth Swim Team.
For all Sharks who still have school sport/club commitments or are club athletes with a conflict during the first week... Sharks practice is optional. GMNY swimmers should attend their GMNY practice in the event of a time conflict :-)
Lastly... I am attaching the order form for spiritwear to this email. Please remember that spiritwear is absolutely optional but is a really fun way to show your team pride and support throughout the season. We have some GREAT options available this year! You can drop off your orders in the SHARKS mailbox (it has a lock) at the Freehold Y front desk or email your order to me. There will be a few extra order forms and envelopes in a BLUE folder with the Sharks mailbox. Payment can be cash, check made out to Cash or Venmo Nicole @NMidura
