PARTY!
Good morning, Sharks Families!
I cannot believe that we are so close to the end of our season. This is our 8th and final week of Y Jersey Shore Summer Sharks.
Our schedule for the week (with details below) is:
MONDAY- Regular Practices
TUESDAY- PIZZA PARTY!!
WEDNESDAY- OFF
THURSDAY- League-A-Palooza tri-meet @ Camp Zehnder
PIZZA PARTY
Our annual End of Season Pizza Party will be on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the swim club. We will have the ENTIRE swim club to ourselves. There will be pizza, cotton candy, brag boards, music, pool time, volleyball and gaga games and any awards won at championships will be given to our swimmers. We will also celebrate our 10 AMAZING coaches!
In order to get an accurate count for pizza ordering, please fill out this google form as soon as possible:
We have team gifts to give our coaches, of course, but If there is a particular coach who is special to your swimmer, please feel free to drop a card with a note, a little artwork or even a little something extra into their gift bag! Or you can leave it with a parent rep at practice tomorrow and we will place it for you.
COACHES' GIFT
There is a little time left to contribute to the team gift to our coaches. Please Venmo whatever amount your family feels is appropriate to @nmidura by Tuesday AM. I will be getting everything ready for the party that afternoon... including finalizing the gifts!
LEAGUE-A-PALOOZA TRI-MEET
Thursday of this week is our FINAL Sharks activity... our tri-meet with the other 2 summer league teams associated with our "Big Team" YMCA of the Jersey Shore. PLEASE DECLARE YOUR SWIMMER AS ATTENDING OR NOT ATTENDING ASAP FOR THIS FINAL MEET! We will swim against the Old Bridge Otters (they swim in the New Jersey Swimming and Diving Conference) and the Camp Zehnder Summer Rockets (they swim in the Shore Summer Swim League) at Camp Zehnder. That's the pool at which we had our make-up meet with Monmouth Heights. This meet CAN serve as a tryout for the Y Jersey Shore club team! If your swimmer would like to continue swimming year-round, this is a good opportunity to evaluate their skills with coaches from the Y Jersey Shore team. It is also cheaper than attending one of the August tryout dates! Just $5 entry fee. This can be Venmoed to @nmidura by Thursday morning.
WORK-BOND RETURN OPTIONS
If you believe that you have fulfilled your 2 (or 3 if you have multiple swimmers) please see a parent rep at practice tomorrow or at the pizza party on Tuesday. If you are not able to make either (or the tri-meet on Thursday) and have fulfilled your volunteer requirement, we can destroy your check and send you a picture. Alternately, you might consider donating your work-bond to the coaches' gift or the pizza party :-)
CHAMPIONSHIP T-SHIRTS
I happen to have the box of extra 2025 MCSC Championships T-Shirts in my possession! If you wanted a shirt but did not purchase one at the championship meets, you can still buy one. The shirts are $15. I have limited adult sizes AS-AXL (NO ADULT M left) and YS-YL. This can be cash or Venmo. Please see a parent rep at practice or at the pizza party. Additionally, I have some leftover shirts from the 2024 MCSC Champs! These we will be giving away for free as long as supplies last :-)
