Congratulations on an undefeated dual meet season!  Today was a little more chaotic than we would have liked but we all worked together and we had a fantastic meet.  A special thank you to the parents who jumped in to save the day at the last minute even though they had more than enough volunteer points.  This is what being a member of the Sharks Family is truly about!  Our dual meet season is officially done.  Now.. ON TO CHAMPIONSHIPS!

CHAMPIONSHIPS

IF YOU DO NOT DECLARE, YOUR SWIMMER 

WILL NOT SWIM... NO EXCEPTIONS!

CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTRIES ARE DUE BY TONIGHT AT 8PM.  NO EXCEPTIONS!! Champs works a little differently... your swimmer gets to choose in which events he or she would like to swim. There is a $5 entry fee to participate and then each event and relay is $5. You may select up to 3 individual events and 2 relays for your swimmer. There is no TIME requirement for the championship, however... your swimmer must have a legal time (not a DQ) during the season. For example: Your swimmer has tried the breaststroke and butterfly at a meet but has gotten DQ'd both times. He cannot choose those events for champs. He can swim the FREE and BACK and the FREE RELAY. That would be 3X$5 plus the $5 entry fee. Your total entry fee will be $20. ALL ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BY CASH, CHECK MADE PAYABLE TO CASH OR VENMO. Entries are due the evening of Saturday, July 18th but payment is due no later than TUESDAY, JULY 21st.  If paying by Venmo, please note that the payment is for CHAMPIONSHIPS! 

REMEMBER: IF YOU DO NOT DECLARE, YOUR SWIMMER WILL NOT SWIM... NO EXCEPTIONS!

Coaches' Gift

PLEASE do not forget about our amazing coaches! We have 18 coaches total who show your swimmers so much kindness and care. Please consider contributing a couple of dollars per coach (or more if you are so moved) to show them how very much we appreciate them. My family has been a Sharks family for nearly 15 years and this truly is an exceptional group of coaches. One of my favorites! Cash, check made out to cash or Venmo whatever amount you are comfortable contributing.  If you are contributing via Venmo, please not that it is for the Coaches' Gift :-)

PIZZA PARTY!

Our annual end of the year team party will take place on Tuesday, July 28th from 6-8PM at the Freehold YMCA Outdoor Pool. We will have the whole swim club to ourselves to celebrate one last time as a family. All awards won at Championships will be distributed at this event. There is a declaration open so that we know how much pizza to order :-)

SUMMER LEAGUE A PALOOZA TRI-MEET

Please declare your swimmer for the Summer League a Palooza swim meet!! This will be a fun Y of the Jersey Shore summer league teams meet and will be held on Saturday, August 1st. If your swimmer is interested in year-round club swimming, this would be a good meet to attend. This meet will take place at the Old Bridge YMCA, located at 1 Marino Park Drive in Old Bridge. It will be an indoor meet with (optional) block starts. Warmups will begin around 8:30AM. More details will follow!
